Beemer’s, Bentley’s, Benz’s and caskets

December 21, 2008After visiting the Miami Downtown Convention Center for a supposedly super, colossalSuch deals we should get.... electronics show, which turned out to be no more than a glorified flea market that cost $6 in road tolls to get to and $8 each to get into….

We decided to spend some time at the Miami Beach Botanical Gardens and learned about some of the local palm trees and horticulture. Like the Aluminum plant, which looks a lot like the lady slipper, but was imported years ago from Vietnam. Or the different palm trees with different heights and trunks. Some smooth, some rough, short and tall. When you run your mouse over the pictures you will see their names before you double click on the picture to get a larger image.

With the Convention Center being a bust we then decided to stock up for the trip to the Keys on Tuesday with a visit to Costco, Miami style. We had never seen so many BMW, Bentley, Land Rovers and Mercedes Benz at a Costco in our lives. Oddly enough there were no clothes sold at this Costco but as you leave the exit where they sell carpet, plumbing fixtures and the like you couldn’t miss the Universal Casket sizer and sale order desk. By the way you can order your Beemer, Bentley or Benz through Costco’s auto sale program in the U.S. as well.

This post is dedicated to our mother who was born on this day in 1919.
